Well, here's the somewhat longer journal entry I promised about a week ago. In case some of you who responded have been wondering, what's caused me to go completely under the dA radar? Two things: new priorities and a lack of ideas of what to specifically put on dA.

Priorities

Before, it was school who took up my time. However, you'd be happy to know that I've already graduated. I've got a nice credentials behind my back now. I'm currently hard at work writing content for a marketing company.

Alas, it's been taking up much of my time and this seemingly short supply of minutes and seconds have caused me to rethink what I'm doing in terms of personal writing projects.

In short, I've decided to work on something big. I can't post it here but that's where I'm headed now that I have both a college degree and a job.

Lack of ideas

I haven't really run out of ideas, just ones I think I can put on dA. The thing is, I'm not sure I have the time to post something really long (something I've been usually doing with my stories). Therefore, I've decided to try something simpler. I'm going to try writing some very short one-shots. It may or may not turn out right, I don't think it's my forte (and won't be disappointed if I do better writing the long stuff) but I still think it's good practice. If you have suggestions on what other things I might try, please let me know.

I will try and comment more on all my friends I haven't talked to here in a long time (really sorry vanishing guys >.<;;; ).

Oh well, time to get cracking here again. In case you're all wondering (hopefully >_<ll ) what I had been doing for so long, here's a brief update (which must be brief cuz I'm short on time).

1. Already graduated (last year in fact)
2. Got a job (takes up my time but it's a living)
3. Getting into a lot of things since I was last seen here. (a few examples are Magic: The Gathering and BlazBlue)
4. Working on my own serious, writing project that I intend to publish. (Won't share it here though, sorry. It's top secret.)
5. Thinking about what kind of short one-shots I can actually put here so I'll be more active on dA.

That's it for now. Will make a longer entry by the end of the week. Sorry to all my friends and watchers for being gone a long time. Life has seriously been busy for me during that absence (and still is)!

God its been two months since I've been really active here. All that time I only felt more and more guilty that I haven't put much up and have left other things unfinished. Damn it!! DX

Okay to all those who still watch me (if there are even any left T_T), I'm trying my best to be active here again. The thing is its already my fourth year in college and to my surprise, I'm actually getting closer to graduation than I had ever been. I've also been enjoying my classes more even though they're the primary reason for taking up so much of my time. >.<;;

Another time-eater has in fact been my writing. You see, around the end of summer classes I also attended a Writer's Workshop.

Seriously, I had never felt more determined to improve myself after that. The panelists were good and their critiques really helped me gain more insight. However, that workshop's also the reason why I've been practicing non-stop in writing short stories.

And by short-stories, I mean I've been driving myself up the wall just to pack one and not end up with yet another novel concept.

I've also been fairly hesitant to post my stuff here because the net's not exactly the safest place for original ideas. My mom had long suggested to me to put whatever stories I manage to complete (which isn't a lot actually T_T) in a portfolio so I could publish it somewhere.

However, right now I'll do what I can to make up for my lack of responses, comments, and uploads but I could seriously use some of your advice (if there's anybody still out there that is). T_T

Lykex: Tis a miracle. My final grades managed to pull the rest of my previous ones to more than enough for me to pass. I'm finally free from academic probation!

Dark: Why'd we have to take summer classes though? -.-

Lykex: We've missed a lot of subjects because of that probation. Got a better way to catch up smart guy? -__-;;

Dark: Well the least ya could've done is picked something besides Biology and Theology. How ya gonna write with that stuff in your head all the time eh? Can't say how you can relate 'em to that fantasy fic you're working on right now.

Lykex: I'll manage. I'll see if I can apply what I learn in Bio if I ever wanna do something science fiction. Theology and Christian Morality on the other hand has excellent applications in both real life and fantasy fiction.

Dark: o_O;; Okay in real life, I can see that given you're a Catholic Conservative Bad Boy... but how does Theology go well with Fantasy?

Lykex: Whaddya you expect? I'm a Tolkien fan. -_-;;

Dark: Oh that's right. Still... your Biology lab sessions suuuuck! Your lab don't have 'em all them creepy dead animals and weird organic tentacles in jars. -.-

Lykex: ... okay that's it. No more tentacle rape hentai for you buddy!

Oh God folks... I am so sorry for not keeping up with my promises of putting up stories. As much as most of my subjects were easy in the classroom, they were not light with the homework. Honestly, if I didn't spend all that time debating on the Catholic forums, I would neither know how or what to put on the papers I had to submit. Anyways, enjoying a brief break now before I get my grades. I'll try to sum up what I've been doing these past two months.

1. Despite it being a month since my last entry, I am still obsessed with a certain children's card game... even as far as to go and watch subbed version of the third season of the anime based on said card game. Heck I wrote a few fanfiction scribbles in whatever spare time I had (to keep my story writing skills from dulling). Even the idea of riding a motorbike while playing this card game is starting to settle with me (not sure that's a good thing but maybe I oughta show some clips for you guys to decide).

2. My birthday was last week so I asked my parents to buy me a new memory stick for my PSP. With it, I managed to get enough space to play (and finish) Dante's Inferno (yes people, I went to hell and faced Lucifer himself ). It caused a bit of trouble though because I had to upgrade only to find I couldn't read the save files of my previous games. Finding the necessary plug ins to encrypt and recover them was a huge pain... (and I've only done two save files... goodness how long it'll take to do all of them). Regardless, I thank God that I have more space to squeeze in more stuff for the gadget that has become my most precious possession. :3

3. Seeing as its Lenten season, I decided to go on this little Catholic tradition today called the Way of the Cross. In case of those who don't know, it's a sort of mini-pilgrimage where I visit these 14 stations that represent the events surrounding the crucifixion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. To be honest, I'm not very religious despite being Catholic since birth. This is pretty much the only religious thing I ever do and you can say it's my (albeit half-baked) way of trying to make up for not being as religious as many more devout people would want. If it's any indication, doing this induced major guilt trips during the reflection periods, which I find to be a good thing (I see guilt as a sign that I still have a conscience and a working moral compass). Anyways, I had to hike up a whole hill to get to each of the stations... and perhaps as some sort of supernatural imposition of additional penance, it started raining when I got back down. The only one thing I can faultlessly say that sucked though was seeing so many beggars and blind people on the side. God help these people, literally. I mean these folks are either too old or too disabled to earn a living and all they can do is beg. I mean every time I look at these people, I see my parents tax pesos at work (or...not at work in this case). I swear whoever wins these upcoming elections better do something to help these people or else I might send my first politically motivated death threat. x:

4. Well aside from the TCG anime, I'm also adding more to expand my mental collection of Japanese Comics/Animation. Let's see... I've watched Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu... Princess Lover... currently watching Utawarerumono... been reading Fairy Tail, Sora no Otoshimono, Moe Kare, Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya... am still trying to finish Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS and Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid... wow, I've watched/read a lot. o.O;;

5. Finally, in case you're all still wondering... yes, I know that April Fools seems to have come early to dA. Which is why... in reaction to what has currently replaced both my icon AND signature... I WILL DESTROY EVERYTHING!!!! D8< *transforms into a Dark Signer*
